front of black mercedes car

Luxury car buying is no game. Even your average car enthusiast understands the importance of high performance, comfort, and overall aesthetic of top luxury automotive. In fact, it’s more than just making a big purchase, it’s about connecting with the brand and how it makes you feel. Regardless of whether you are into SUVs or sedans, Lamborghini or Porsche, if you’re choosing a luxury option it’s all about the manufacturer marker on the front of the car, and the elegant writing on the back that matters (1).

But when you are handed the keys and sit behind the wheel of your new toy for the first time, a new wave of excitement takes over. You have the freedom to roam wherever you want in top class and luxury. The finest materials, the most exclusive amenities, everything that has earned your car its top brand luxury name now has the power to travel with you wherever you go. The feeling, truthfully, is unlike anything else. It’s unbeatable.

Whether you are looking for an upgrade, the latest technology, or a new weekend car, here are the world’s most luxurious car options.

2020 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid

New to the game is the 2020 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid luxury car. While Bentley has always had a reputation for being a luxury car, the Bentayga is a first for Bentley in many ways. First off, it is Bentley’s first hybrid car (2). Call it the Tesla effect, call it an environment call to action, call it an auto maker race to the future, but this is the first car by the Bentley manufacturer to have any sort of electric power. In fact, the goal of Bentley is to have a hybrid version of all existing Bentley’s by 2023 and the first full electric battery by 2025. This is also the first SUV that the Crewe marque has developed, and at first glance you can see influences from the Audi Q7, the Porsche Cayenne, and yes, even the VW Touareg. But as history has confirmed, Bentley has and will continue to outperform all of these makers in speed, luxury, and comfort.

So how is it on the road?

Well, as you can imagine, the engine is very quiet. It has a 12-cylinder, 48-volt electrical system that is powered from a starter generator motor in the engine. Essentially, while this car is so heavy, it takes corners smoothly and evens out to a straight line with ease. The suspension relaxes so it rides well – everything we expect from the Bentley name. It can also reach 0 – 62mph in only 3.9 seconds with optimal speed performance and overall is a comfortable ride. It is, however, built for more luxury travel around town than long distance rides.

Aside from its precise handling, the Bentayga interior is completely crafted by hand – completed by 53 interior artisans over a course of 130 hours on average. The result is unmatched to anything else on the market. There is also the option to add in a Breitling Tourbillon clock for the dash, or even an over-the-top picnic set to the car. The 8in, 60gb dash main screen offers a crisp picture, setting it aside from its competition with its advanced technology. The Bentayga seat 5 – as opposed to their normal 4 – and is completely design from ceiling to floor, steering wheel to door handles in whatever interior color and material you prefer. While still fairly new to the market, the Bentley Bentayga is turning heads and changing the luxury automotive game.

Rolls-Royce Wraith

Ahh the Rolls-Royce. A hard name to beat in the world of luxury cars. While these cars are built on the name of elegance, the Rolls-Royce Wraith proves to be the most powerful and dynamic car option that Rolls-Royce has ever produced (3). Although we still wouldn’t consider these cars to be the ‘sporty’ option, the Wraith does include a turbocharged 6.6 liter V12 that sends 624bhp to the back wheels – a huge increase from some of their previous models. The rear axle has also been widened while its wheelbase shortened for higher performance and can hit 60mph in 4.4 seconds.

Rolls-Royce has always been known for their incredible suspension and smooth rides, it’s the interior of these magnificent cars that truly sets them apart. The Wraith includes four perfectly designed leather seats and interior with wood and metal accents throughout the inside. The two front seats have a massaging feature to soothe sore muscles on a long drive, and the two back seats are bucket seats designed for comfort. The Wraith also includes the signature Rolls-Royce dotted ceiling to make it look like you are sitting under the stars. Overall, the Wraith includes lavish finishing’s, over-the-top luxuries, and the smoothest ride.

Mercedes-Maybach S650 Night Edition

Truly one of a kind, the Mercedes-Maybach S650 Night Edition is an ultra-rare car only available to customers in the United States (4). Already one of the top luxury cars on the market, Mercedes-Maybach thought they could make this car even more exclusive by releasing only 15 units, and taking the most luxurious car amenities from the original S650 and then doubling it… And then doubling it again. It packs a massive twin-turbo 6.0liter V12 that can go from 0-60mph in only 4.3 seconds. It is also capable of producing 621 horsepower and 738lb-ft of twist. It features the Mercedes-Maybach signature “Magic Body Control” so handling is always smooth and easy.

The first thing you’ll notice on the S650 Night Edition is the slight changes to the exterior making it appear sleeker and more sinister than ever before. This is due to the exclusive Obsidian Black paint job, carbon fiber rear spoiler, Maybach radiator grille, and a Smoked Shadow wheel finish – giving it that signature Night Edition aesthetic without over complicating the already beautiful exterior we saw in the original S650.

The interior, however, has made some strikingly bold adjustments. The four seats are an elegant Porcelain-colored Nappa leather, each with massage features, seat heating and seat cooling. The two rear seats come with a 43 degree recline angle and power calf rests as well to give you comfort during longer drives. The interior overall is a deep black separated by a carbon-fiber trim and 64-colored ambiance lights in the front, back, and throughout the interior. This car really is one of a kind, with only 15 lucky owners who will truly be able to experience its luxuries.
